How We Do It

EAA Chapter 1158 has invested it's time, talent and treasure making Aeromart better every year.  We run it like a business.  Leadership from our chapter has invested in a professional quality computer point of sale network.  Credit card sales are processed on line in seconds.  Financial reports are produced.  Insurance bills get paid.  Thousands of items are checked in, displayed and sold.  All in the 7 days of the biggest flying event on earth.

This is retailing on steroids.  Few companies would tackle this.  Too much work, not enough profit.  But as fellow EAA members, we know the value of networking with our peers.  Finding parts that are unavailable anywhere else.

By connecting buyers and sellers, all members of EAA, we help keep you flying.

What's in it for shoppers

One man's trash is another man's treasure.  So the saying goes.                                KeepEmFlyin

As a pilot, you don't need us to tell you flying costs money.  Saving some cash on a second-hand item that will help keep you flying is a great benefit of Aeromart.  Your fellow EAA members bring everything your can imagine, from altimeters to azimuths, from flight suits to wheel pants, from wing struts to oxygen tanks to Aeromart every year.  They tag it, price it, and park it during the week.

You only need to discover it.  At the biggest flying event on earth.  AirVenture 2007.

Make sure to make time to visit Aeromart and discover the treasure.

What's in it for sellers

Where on earth can you sell that stuff that's been accumulating in the corner of the hanger?  How about a display at the largest flying event in the world.  And the cost?  A dollar.  Bring your items, invest one dollar in each one, and you'll put your goodies for sale in front of 15,000 of your fellow aviators and enthusiasts.  It's just that easy.

Sellers pay Aeromart $1.00 per item consigned plus 12 percent of their sales for the right to display and sell their goodies at the biggest and best aviation event on the planet.

What's in it for volunteers

This will be the ninth year running that Chapter 1158 has run Aeromart. Chapter members provide the core of volunteers that run the facility, but volunteer EAA'ers from all around the world take part.   Volunteer hours are reported to EAA headquarters, and your chapter will be properly credited.  You admission to the fly-in is free each day you volunteer at Aeromart.  Our thanks for your support.  Just contact our chairman for a pass.

Our volunteers enjoy the friendships and camaraderie they’ve developed over the years.  And they are a wealth of information and help.  Stop in at Aeromart and say hello.  Get them started, and the stories they can share are a wonder.  That's the great purpose of the fly-in in the first place - pilots talking about flying.  You'll have a blast at Aeromart.  Just say hello, and see where it takes you.  Interested in becoming an Aeromart volunteer?

Drop an email to:   info@aeromart.org   Or give Mark a call.  He'd be happy to get you signed up.
